Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the VoilAI service ("Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of service
VoilAI is an AI-powered platform that generates short explainer videos from text prompts. The Service uses third-party AI models (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic), a text-to-speech engine (Google Cloud), and royalty-free media (Pexels) to produce video content. Output quality and availability depend on those third-party services.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- One account per person. We reserve the right to terminate duplicate or fraudulent accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Produce content that infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Generate spam, misinformation, deepfakes, or synthetic media intended to deceive.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
- Circumvent rate limits, credit systems, or other technical controls.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules, without prior notice and without refund.
5. Credits and subscriptions
Free plan
Free accounts receive a limited monthly allowance of AI credits and voice characters at no charge. These reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over.
Paid subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Plans auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancel at any time through the Billing Portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Credit packs
One-time credit packs are non-refundable and do not expire. They are consumed after your monthly allocation is exhausted.
Price changes
We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for unused subscription periods or credit packs except where required by applicable law. If the Service experiences a major, prolonged outage attributable to us, we may issue credit at our discretion.
6. Content and intellectual property
Your prompts
You retain ownership of the prompts you submit. By submitting a prompt you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of generating your requested content.
Generated output
AI-generated video content produced by the Service is provided to you for your personal or commercial use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the output complies with applicable laws, including copyright and defamation law. We make no warranty that generated content is free of third-party intellectual property claims.
Our intellectual property
The VoilAI platform, its design, code, and branding are owned by us and protected by copyright and other applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party AI providers, payment processors, and media platforms. These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies that apply to content sent to them. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. AI-GENERATED CONTENT MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR MISLEADING — ALWAYS REVIEW OUTPUT BEFORE PUBLISHING.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoilAI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
